As the State begins to reopen, we have also reopened our office and services to normal business, as normal can be during these difficult times. Our office will be reopened on June 15, 2020 for walk in business. As our entry area is small, only one customer may enter at a time and we do request that a mask be worn during your visit. Our recommendation to our customers is call first to request an appointment so no one is left standing outside in wait. We will accept cash payments; however, we prefer that another type of payment be made. The transference of cash increases the risk to you and our employees in handling money, please take this into consideration when making your payments.
Our drivers will continue to not accept cash payment on delivery. As the drivers are on the road all day and in and out of their vehicles, it is more difficult for them to wash their hands, put masks on and off, or protect themselves against the virus. Payment arrangements should be made with the office when your order is placed.
Our service technicians are provided with proper PPE to enter and service your heating and cooling needs in your home. We do request for technicians to have direct access to your system if possible. Allow our technicians to complete their work while maintaining distance and make payment arrangements with our office staff so the technician can avoid person to person contact.
Except with these adjustments, business is open as usual for all your needs. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office for further information.

Easy Ways to Save Energy this Spring
1. Get a Programmable Thermostat
Switching from a manual to a programmable thermostat is a great way to help save on energy bills. This allows you to conserve energy by setting the indoor temperature higher when you’re not home, or lower at night when it cools down.
2. Cook Outdoors
Spring is the perfect time to get outside and get grilling! Cooking outside, or eating cold foods, helps to save money on energy costs. Also, by not turning on the oven, you’re helping to keep your home cool and comfortable.
3. Weatherproof Your Home
Make sure to caulk your windows and insulate doors to keep your home at the best temperature for you and your family. On very warm days, close your window treatments to keep your home cool so your air conditioning unit can run less frequently.
4. Turn on Bathroom Fans
Turn on your bathroom fan while you shower to pull any excess heat and humidity from your home. You should also consider switching to a low-flow showerhead model to cut your water usage in half.
5. Schedule an A/C Tune-Up
Beat the rush and have peace of mind knowing your A/C will work when you need it most. Schedule an A/C tune-up to help your system run at maximum efficiency to help keep your home cool while using less energy. Bay State Fuel Oil offers tune-ups to keep your system running at peak efficiency.
